Hi GMT users-
Please remember that if you find a potential bug it is important that you make sure you are running the latest GMT 4 or 5 release and not some obsolete version. This is because we do not have the resources to maintain and debug old GMT versions. Upgrading to the latest release is pretty simple but for some Linux distros it seems the distributor prefers to keep older buggy versions in their "stable" release tree (Ubunto comes to mind). Unfortunately, with GMT4 it is a given that a more recent GMT 4 release has less bugs than an older version since the GMT 4 tree only changes in response to bug fixes. Similarly, in GMT 5.1.x we are only fixing bugs and not adding new features. The next GMT 5 release with new features (and hence the potential for new bugs) will be 5.2.0 late this year.
If your problem persists with the latest GMT version then by all means create a New Issue on the GMT website and give enough information to enable us to recreate the problem. The more details you give the less back-and-forth across time-zones we will have to do to get started.
Sincerely, the GMT Team
