Dear GMT users,
This might be a bug, but before reporting as that I want to share the
strange behavior of the Azimuthal Equidistant projection.
The followind command (when -R is specififed as
-Rlonmin/lonmax/latmin/latmax) produces an output, but the -Sblue option
draws also a strange circle:
pscoast -B10g10 -Je-70/-90/1:15000000 -R-95/-60/-75/-55 -Di -Ggreen -Sblue
-P -Uc -V > az_eq_scale.ps
The next command (when -R is specified as -Rlonmin/latmin/lonmax/latmaxr)
behaves ALMOST correctly, because the 60°W meridian is NOT drawn:
pscoast -B10g10 -Je-70/-90/1:15000000 -R-95/-75/-60/-55r -Di -Ggreen -Sblue
-P -Uc -V > az_eq_scale_r.ps
I attach both postscript files to let you verify this.
Actually the problem becomes bigger when you add psxy or grdimage commands,
but for now I want to solve this very basic issue.
Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this problem?
Any help will be very much appreciated. Best wishes
