Making track with project

Dear all,

I use project to generate points every 100 m. to use as input for
grdtrack for making cross sections;

project -G100 -N -E226770/7320150 -C256824/7317486

This is a straight line going from start -E.. to end -G.., but I would
like to have more segments as well going e.g. in another direction
making up a longer line. Put pragmatic; How can I make a line that
goes from the start point, xx km to the north-northwest and then yy km
to the south-southwest?

Is it possible to feed start, stop and intermediate points to project
via an input file?

Appreciate all suggestions!

Andreas

This problem goes away once you use GMT5's grdtrack new crossection option (-C). See example 36 for a basic application [http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu/doc/latest/gallery/ex33.html#example-33]
