You use -M* but the * is not used as a segment marker. Instead it appears as a (bad) y coordinate that is converted to a NaN.

Thanks Guru, for reply, but the same piece of command works well for
test2 second one did you notice ?
So, you are trying to plot lines but where no line has more than ONE
point -- Case 1 --- (the * are converted to NaNs ans used as line
interrupts)
No wonder that nothing shows up
Post by Peter
You use -M* but the * is not used as a segment marker. Instead it
appears as a (bad) y coordinate that is converted to a NaN.

Thank you so much for clarification, at least I need circle symbol in
such cases is it possible..?.
Yes, use for instance -Sc0.1c -G0 instead of -W8,0/0/255

sorry to trouble you... I don't know much about gmt..I am on basic

We were all 'basic' first, but we have a very good manual.

Thanks Guru, for reply, but the same piece of command works well
for test2 second one did you notice ?
So, you are trying to plot lines but where no line has more than
ONE point -- Case 1 --- (the * are converted to NaNs ans used as
line interrupts)
No wonder that nothing shows up

Single points separated by NaNs means no line is drawn. Your other case has consecutive points so line segments are drawn.
